Cappellino's Crazy Cakes also bakes up a daily selection of cookies such as Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Pignoli Nut, Oatmeal Cranberry, or Fruit & Nut. History: The recipes at Cappellino's have been, for the most part, handed down from Dotty and Frank's father, James Vincent Cappellino, who was an accomplished chef and chocolatier in Pittsburgh. Dotty has a successful history as a baker, specializing in poundcakes that sold at Charlottesville retailers such as The Greenwood Store and Foods of All Nations. Frank had a thriving specialty cake business in Florida. Charlottesville, Virginia's Cappellino's Crazy Cakes is the brainchild
of brother-and-sister team Frank and Dotty Cappellino. Featuring over
20 flavors of cupcakes that are as delicious as they are beautiful,
Cappellino's is quickly becoming known as Charlottesville's premiere
cupcake bakery. Just off Charlottesville's pedestrian-friendly Historic
Downtown Mall, Cappelino's Crazy Cakes is the place to go for cupcakes
(or cookies!), whether it be for an impromptu treat or a large order
for that special occasion. Everything at Cappellino's is made from scratch, and the beautiful fondant decorations are made by hand. Madagascar Vanilla is the vanilla of choice, and real butter is always used.
